Raindrop therapy is an incredible, targeted treatment that incorporates the use of therapeutic grade essential oils and precise massage techniques applied along an animal's spine. The main purpose of this therapy is to restore and balance the body's energy, promote proper alignment of the spine, and alleviate arthritis-related discomfort. Moreover, this treatment facilitates the elimination of viruses and toxins by acting on the spinal area.
The Raindrop Technique was developed in the 1980’s by D. Gary Young, based on a Lakota Indian healing ritual and was first used to aid in healing of spinal and related muscle injuries. Now it is known to be a powerful, non-invasive process for assisting the body in many things such as:
-Founder
-Infection
-Allergies
-Detoxify from anesthesia, medications or poisons
-Arthritis
-Muscle fatigue and soreness
-Stress or trauma; physical or emotional
-Boost immune system
-Increase mental alertness
The immediate benefits of the treatment can include pain relief, alignment of the spine, balance of the body and energies, as well as emotional well-being.
It is said that essential oils can harbour in the body for up to 7 days, allowing a longer lasting treatment.
This particular modality is a fantastic addition to any existing Equine or Canine Massage therapist practice. It enables you to provide your patients with an outstanding experience and numerous benefits. Not only is it relaxing and rejuvenating, but it also holds several internal advantages. The course exclusively incorporates safe oils that can be used on animals. These oils are applied utilizing specific carrier oils during the treatment.
Throughout the session, a sequence of nine unique oils is employed. These oils provide immune support, aid in digestion, alleviate pain, possess anti-inflammatory properties, induce relaxation, and offer anti-spasmodic effects.
This course aims to equip you with the necessary skills and confidence to become a certified raindrop therapy practitioner. Upon successfully completing a final exam and three video case studies, you will achieve your certification.

About the Instructor
The instructor for this course is Morgan Rooks-Turcotte. Morgan was born and raised in Alberta and has remained a resident of Parkland County for the last 10 years. She had dreams of becoming a veterinarian, but then thought "Oh man, too much school!", so took her path to becoming a veterinary technician. But her fascination and dedication to animal care has driven her into the realm of offering various remedial therapies for horses and dogs, and even cats too! Her journey into all of this truly started for caring for her own horses, and realizing how much our horses deserve the best dedicated care. She recently had the opportunity to work with Dr. Angelique, a person she looks up to in the therapist world. She wanted to bring the raindrop treatment to light for other therapists. After being introduced to this modality and using it on her personal horse consistently, she was amazed on how well it paired with his ongoing arthritic issues. She poured her soul into researching the modality and performing it to feel confident it would benefit other practitioners alike to be able to offer to their patients.
